Transformation of material and transformation via the material, immersing myself in the transformational felting process, from fibre to complex dimensional forms. The felted heart a bridge between the invisible world and the visible, held protected and enclosed within the strength and durability of the rib cage. At the heart of creation, the hollow felted heart is at the will of the artist and viewers perception and imagination, a physical embodiment of an assembly of meanings, the heart the centre of the being.
