Shards of metal-embedded objects in resin are encapsulated inside wire droplets to create the effect of objects trapped in a moment of time and unable to continue rusting. The chain represents the links between the process of oxidation, and the shape circular to represent the rusting cycle. These objects typify the fragility of the process of rusting, rain and chemicals aiding the process from conception back to decomposition.
Materials: rusted oil can remains, metal bar, assorted found metal objects, metal chain, bare aluminium wire, 2 mm & 0.8 mm, cast resin, selection of un-rusted found objects, iron alloy rusted wire, selection of rusted metal shards, rusting paint.
